What TamLens gives you.

Nine features, one goal: know if a market is worth entering before you spend a dollar on it.

Feature 01

The three dollar numbers

What it is. The whole market, the search-reachable part, and the share one ranked business can take. All in dollars per year.

How it works. We count the people in your city who need the service, from Census age data. We multiply by how many start each year and what they pay. Then real search counts shrink that to what a website can reach.

Sources: US Census, Google Ads search data.

Feature 02

Score and verdict

What it is. One number from 0 to 100, and a verdict: enter or walk away.

How it works. Three checks add up. Too few providers for the population is worth 35 points. Strong search demand is worth 35. Room for one more business is worth 30. Score 70 or more and the market is a strong entry. Under 35, skip it.

Every check shows its own math on the report.

Feature 03

The competitor table

What it is. Every real competitor in the city, with names, addresses, ratings, reviews, and how long they have been in the market.

How it works. For licensed fields we pull the federal registry every provider must be in, updated daily. For everything else we pull business registries and Google listings. A low rating with lots of reviews in a busy area is your opening.

Feature 04

The demand map

What it is. Your market drawn on real neighborhoods. Darker blue means more of your customers live there.

How it works. We pull Census counts for your customer group in every tract of the city and paint them on the official tract shapes. Competitors show as pins on top. One look tells you which side of town is served and which is not.

Sources: US Census tract data, official boundary files.

Feature 05

Traffic counts

What it is. Real measured vehicles per day on the roads around any location, colored red, amber and green.

How it works. State road departments count traffic with real sensors and publish the data. We draw it on the map. A spot on a 40,000 car road gets seen every day without an ad budget.

Feature 06

The gap finder

What it is. The best empty spot in the market, found for you and marked on the map.

How it works. We look for the neighborhood with the most demand and no competitor close by. That is where a new location or a ranked website faces the least resistance. The dashed ring and dot mark it.

Computed from the demand map and competitor pins.

Feature 07

Busy hours

What it is. When the area around a location actually has people in it, hour by hour, every day of the week.

How it works. Google tracks how busy places are through the day. We average it across the businesses in your market. If the area peaks at 3 to 6pm, that sets your ad schedule and your staffing.

Feature 08

Show-the-work math

What it is. Every number on the report comes with its formula, its inputs, and where each input came from.

How it works. Hover any number and a plain-English note tells you what it means. Each input is labeled: live city data, industry constant, or assumption. If you disagree with an input, you know exactly which one to challenge.

No black box. That is the point.
